This crane runs on an elevated runway system installed along the length of a production facility and provides three axes of hook motion. Both single and double girder bridge designs can be provided offering much flexibility in that the hook can be precisely positioned enabling loads to be handled gently. Bridge cranes are offered in two configurations: top runner and underhung. With a top runner the crane runs on top of the bridge; with an underhung system the crane runs on the bottom flange of bridge. Top runner cranes are available to a capacity of 10 tons for a single girder design and 300 tons for a double girder design. Underhung cranes are available to a capacity of 10 tons for a single girder design and 15 tons for a double girder design.
