MONORAIL

This crane system is very specialized and effective when properly designed into a production facility layout. There are only two directions of hook travel possible by the monorail: up/down and along the axis of the monorail beam versus three for a bridge crane. With a monorail system, the hoist and trolley run on a single stationary beam. Monorail cranes are available to a capacity of 150 tons.
