GANTRY CRANE

This crane is very similar to the bridge crane except that of running on an elevated runway system it runs on a track installed at floor level. The bridge crane portion (carries the hoist and trolley) is supported by a pair of rigid steel legs carried by a pair of end trucks along the floor-level track. The gantry crane provides the same performance characteristics that an overhead bridge crane offers.
